But God!
"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." — 1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV)
Life is full of challenges that test our faith. At times, it feels like the weight of the world is pressing down on us, making it hard to see a way forward. But God is always present, working behind the scenes. He is shaping us into victors, not victims. Every trial we face serves a purpose, and God is faithful to provide a way through it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 reminds us that no hardship we face is beyond our ability to endure with God’s help. He never allows us to be overwhelmed without also providing an escape. Our role is to trust Him, even when we can’t see the solution. Think about past trials—how often has God guided you through situations that once seemed impossible? His faithfulness never fails.
Life brings rejection, disappointment, and unexpected difficulties. People may walk away, and circumstances may seem bleak. Yet, God calls us to take refuge in Him. Psalm 7:1 declares, "O Lord my God, in you do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me." When we feel overwhelmed, God is our safe place, our shelter in the storm.
Have you ever felt like you were sinking, much like Peter did when he took his eyes off Jesus? When Peter cried out, Jesus immediately reached out His hand and saved him. That same Jesus is with you today, reaching out to lift you up. No matter how deep the waters, God’s love and power are greater.
Life is a marathon, not a sprint. The road will have obstacles, but they do not define us—they refine us. Each challenge is an opportunity for growth, a chance to witness God’s faithfulness. Even death, which seems like the ultimate loss, is simply the doorway to eternity with Christ. For those who believe, the worst thing imaginable is actually the best thing—we are forever in God’s presence.
When hardships arise, shift your focus. Don’t dwell on the problem—focus on God's promises. "God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him." — 1 John 4:16 (ESV). His love is constant, and He will never leave you.
Reflection:
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for always being my refuge and deliverer. Help me to trust You in every trial, knowing You will always provide a way out. Strengthen my faith and remind me that I am never alone. Your love sustains me, and with You, I can endure all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
