Alive and Made Right

Alive and Made Right

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)

Reflection:

Easter is more than a celebration of an empty grave—it is the declaration of a finished work. Jesus didn’t just die to remove your sins; He rose to give you a new identity—righteous, accepted, and whole in Him.

This is the beauty of the gospel: in Christ, a divine exchange took place. He took on your sin, shame, and guilt so that you could take on His righteousness, freedom, and peace. When God looks at you, He no longer sees your flaws or failures—He sees you clothed in the perfection of His Son.

The resurrection is your assurance that it’s done. You don’t need to strive for God’s approval—it’s already yours. You don’t need to fear judgment—it’s already been placed on Jesus. Because Christ lives, you can walk confidently in grace, not chained to the past, but empowered for the future.

Take a moment today and ask: Do I live as someone who is fully accepted and made right with God? How would my relationship with God—and others—change if I truly embraced this identity?

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for the cross and for rising again in victory. Thank You for exchanging my sin for Your righteousness. Teach me to live boldly in this truth—free from shame, confident in love, and full of joy. Let my life reflect the power of Your resurrection. Amen.
