Do Not Break the Wait
Scripture:
“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9
Reflection:
Waiting is one of the hardest tests of faithfulness.
Many people wait for a while, but then they break the wait just before the harvest comes. They pray, serve, believe, and endure for a season, but when the answer delays, discouragement begins to speak. Weariness whispers, “Nothing is happening. Maybe it is time to stop.”
But Scripture gives us a promise: in due season, we will reap if we do not give up.
The condition for reaping is not brilliance. It is not visibility. It is not having the most talent, the most experience, or the most recognition. The condition is endurance.
The one who reaps is the one who refuses to quit.
There are times when doubt will come. There are times when persecution will come. There are times when weariness in service will come. Even John the Baptist, who boldly declared Jesus as the Lamb of God, later asked from prison, “Are You the One, or should we look for another?”
Doubt can visit even strong people.
But doubt does not have to become your dwelling place.
When the questions come, remain steadfast. When the pressure comes, remain immovable. When the fruit seems delayed, do not break the wait.
Faithfulness is proven over time. It is easy to start with excitement, but it takes grace to continue when excitement fades. It takes maturity to remain planted in the days of trial and the days of celebration, the days of progress and the days that feel slow.
God is not unjust to forget your labor.
Stay faithful.
The due season is still coming.
Reflection Questions:
Prayer:
Lord, help me not to break the wait. Strengthen me when I feel tired, discouraged, or unseen. Teach me to endure with faith and patience. Remind me that due season belongs to You, and that if I do not give up, I will reap. Give me grace to remain faithful until the harvest comes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection Questions:
- Where have I been tempted to give up because the harvest has not come yet?
- What weariness, doubt, or pressure is trying to move me out of my place of faithfulness?
- How can I strengthen my heart to continue until due season comes?
